Attorney Lester Makofka has joined Parra Harris Law following a brief retirement from his distinguished legal career. Mr. Makofka began practicing law in Jacksonville in 1973 and has served clients in the areas of Civil Law, State and Federal Criminal Defense, Probate Law and Guardianship, Bankruptcy, and Family Law. He graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Economics from Bucknell University in Louisville, Pennsylvania and he graduated from the University of Florida School of Law in 1972. When he is not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 37 years, his four children (his three sons are Attorneys and his daughter is a Project Manager), and his five grandchildren.
Mr. Makofka retired in 2014, but his passion for Family Law brought him back into the field earlier this year. He has significant court room experience in family law matters, with more than 43 years of trial practice experience. Mr. Makofka has handled cases involving divorce, alimony, timesharing, relocation, paternity, modification orders and domestic violence.
